On October 5, the first shipments of 6 – 7 million doses of the nasal spray swine flu vaccine will arrive in doctor’s offices. Thereafter, another 40 million doses of injectable vaccine will be delivered, with another 10 million to 20 million doses shipped weekly. Public health experts believe that those who most need the vaccine are pregnant women, health workers, young people and parents and caregivers of infants younger than six months.
